Introduction

Anchor Electricals is a leading manufacturing company manufacturing electrical equipment. They are spread across 35 locations using Microsoft Outlook as client and open source based solution as mail server. The client has a complex WAN architecture consisting of WAN connected using Radio frequency and Lease lines across country.

Challenges

The company needed a collaborative medium through which they could connect to the various locations across locations. They required a comprehensive collaborative infrastructure. In this view client had the following requirement.

Corporate collaboration and communication platform
Migration from existing MS outlook mail to lotus Notes
Linux based mailing infrastructure for 100+ field staff integrated with Lotus mailing infrastructure.

Teckraft Solution

Teckraft had done the site assessment of all their locations some physically and demonstrated the proof of concept for entire migration project which was followed by migrated of their existing MS Outlook based messaging system to lotus Notes / Domino 8.5 on platforms such as Linux & windows with zero downtime across Location.

We have also implemented Instant Messaging / Chat infrastructure across location this toll was used as a corporate chat to reduce STD and ISD cost incurred in communication with locations. The solution implemented was accessible from both Internet and the intranet.

Linux based mailing system was deployed and hosted for field Staff and outsourced employee mail access, which was integrated with lotus notes for cross platform messaging and address book lookups.

We also implemented application to automate business process in areas such as finance, accounts and HR.
