A leading drug manufacturer company ranking 4th position in Global Pharmaceuticals industry. They have a complex WAN architecture consisting of WAN connected using Radio frequency and Lease lines across country. The company was using CC-Mail as their mailing infrastructures.

Challenges

The company needed a collaborative medium through which they could connect to the various locations across the globe. They required a comprehensive collaborative infrastructure. In this view the client had the following requirement.

Migration from existing CC-Mail system to lotus Notes

Teckraft Solution

Teckraft had done the site assessment of all their locations some physically and demonstrated the proof of concept for entire migration project which was followed by migrated of their existing CC-Mail based messaging system to lotus Notes on platforms such as Solaris, Linux & windows with zero downtime across the globe. We have also implemented Instant Messaging / Chat infrastructure across globe this toll was used as a corporate chat to reduce STD and ISD cost incurred in communication with locations.

The solution implemented was accessible from both Internet and the intranet. Linux based mailing system was deployed and hosted for field Staff mail access, which was integrated with lotus notes for cross platform messaging and address book lookups. User creation and deletion was automated using custom developed toll in java technology which used employee data residing in oracle backend for performing this activity.

We also implemented HR applications, which were integrated with the backend database on Oracle and also developed and deployed corporate intranet page with links to their HR applications.

Subsequently we upgraded their servers to all the major release and supported them on cross platform migration on server from windows to Linux.
